In addition to the mugging and theft in major cities, there are also a number of dangerous creatures, including spiders and scorpions in less developed areas. Either way-no matter what part you travel to-travel insurance is a must if you plan to travel to Mexico. You more than likely will not use it, as most do not, but if you do have to use it, you will be happy you purchased it.
